What is the “Google Zukunftswerkstatt” and who can benefit from it?
With the “Google Digital Workshop”, Google offers a workshop for all those who want to get familiar with online marketing and advertising with Google.
In addition to the online offering, Google is on the road for the first time in Germany with their weekly workshops and you could register online for the following courses.
What courses did I attend and what did I expect from the workshops?
I have decided in advance for the following courses and registered online:

What did I expect from these courses?
As a digital marketer, I am always looking for ways to better understand my target group, therefore, my thought was that nobody knows my target group better than google.
The fact that it can be difficult to identify the interests and problems of target groups in the B2B sector was also confirmed to me in the Best Practice Workshop on the first day.
It quickly became clear that it was possible to find targeted information about the target group, but Google offers marketers in B2C far more opportunities than their colleagues in B2B.
So far so good, we are still relying on the following methods and wait and see what the future brings:
- Direct experience from our sales department
- Experience from live and telephone interviews
- Experience from studies
- Expert blogs and forums
Unlike in the previous event, I was able to gain more at the next event. Adwords for beginners.
After this workshop, I expected to be able to create and manage complete campaigns in Adwords.
Here I wasn’t disappointed because I could take a lot of tips to advertise with Google AdWords.
Here are 5 helpful tips I would like to share with you:
- Focus on the quality factor of your ad
- Optimize your landing page for mobile use
- Use Analytics to refine your audience
- Use your email lists to create a custom audience in Adwords to place more targeted ads and minimize scattering loss
- Use Google Display Advertising to advertise on websites that are relevant to your target groups.

The Google creates the perfect basis for people who want to start with online marketing with their offline events.
The content is imparted very well and the direct conversation with the experienced Google staff can be very helpful, as they are happy to share their experience with you.
